How did you know when to switch you infant’s bottle nipples from level 1 to level 2?
Did you do it exactly at 3 months or were there signs that you knew to change?
I tried changing it at 3 mos, and my daughter had a hard time with the faster flow. She sounded like she was gagging, and finished her bottle very quickly, both of which left her pretty upset.
I finally switched when two things happened:
1 – she would take forever to finish her bottle, mainly would fall asleep halfway through
2 – When she began teething. Sucking a bottle can increase teething pain, so I switched to the faster flow b/c she wouldn’t have to suck as hard.
I was finally able to toss the slow flows at 6 mos.
