Some effective ways to prolong the service life of the control valve
The booming of the valve industry is obvious to see. Actually, valves have been doing great favors to the industrial process and the daily life. They are expected to be made full use of through their service life. Under the all around consideration, it is wise of us to do something in order to effectively prolong the service life. Now, let’s take the employment of the control valve for example.
It is suggested to make the control valve work with wide opening at the every beginning. It would be good for the use of the head of the spool. It is certain that the flow would do damages to the spool as time goes by. Thus, if the opening is generally reduced, the spool can be used fully until it is completely broken. Also, working with the wide opening would greatly reduce the erosion. It is estimated that the service life can be improved by 2 times through this operating approach.
In terms of increasing the working opening, there are two general methods available. One is to reduce the pressure distributed to the valve. It can be operated through the specific methods such as to set up orifice for regulating or to arrange the handle valve on the close pipeline. The other is to reduce the diameter of the valve. It is feasible to choose a valve with small diameter or to favor the small valve seat.
Then, other means are also popular. It is appreciated transfer the location with serious damage to the secondary location in order to protect sealing surface and cutting surface of the valve seat. Furthermore, people can increase throttle channel by thickening the valve seat. As a result, it is able to reduce the function on the sealing surface and increase the throttle resistance. What else, the change of the flow direction would be also effective. The fragile part in the valve would be the sealing face and spool. Generally speaking, the flow would cause, more or less, corrosion so that the valve is out of work.
In words, there are many other things we can do to prolong the service life of the control, as well as other valves like diaphragm valve. It would be appreciated if we are careful while operating and being conscious to acquire some effective approach.
